For Your Safety

Our top priority is the safety of our members, guests, team members and instructors. We’ve reviewed our cleaning and safety standards to introduce some new measures throughout the club. During your visit to the health and fitness club, you’ll find hand sanitisers available upon arrival and throughout the health club as you use our various facilities. In line with government guidance, we now have social distancing procedures and new signage for everyone to follow. Key touchpoints have been identified to be cleaned by our in house Clean Team regularly; all equipment will be sanitised with a viricidal spray throughout the day, before an overnight deep clean process takes place every day.

Planning Your Visit

Booking a Session

All gym visits must be booked via Technogym's mywellness app. (Most members setup a mywellness account when they join the club. It’s what you use for your key fob in the gym. Your account will be your email address; you just need to remember which one! Or contact us.) While exercise classes, the swimming pool and wet spa visits (initially only the hydro pool) must be booked via My Club, the members login from the club website, or via the new launched The Club Company My Club app. If you’ve booked an exercise class before via the club website or using a bookmarked access on your phone, you’ll find it’s still in the same place. Alternatively, both apps can be downloaded via your device's app store, for your convenience. All visits can be booked up to 4 days in advance; to ensure all members have the opportunity to use the facilities, each gym session will be limited to 60 minutes; each swimming pool and wet spa visit will be limited to 30 minutes. If you don’t have a Smartphone, or don’t feel comfortable with technology, you may also book a slot by phoning the club or asking at reception when you arrive. It’s much better to book in advance to guarantee a slot. Multiple sessions can be booked in the day, subject to review.

Facility Booking Availability How to Book

Booking Cancellations

Should you need to cancel a booking, please give the club as much notice as possible. Many slots are popular and it’s always a shame if we can’t fill them due to a late cancellation. We understand that there will be circumstances where a booking commitment cannot be kept; unfortunately, we must reserve the right to impose penalties for failure to provide adequate cancellation notice repeatedly. (For persistent offence, advance booking privileges will be suspended, for a defined period.)

Health Club Arrival

If you feel unwell, or have any Covid-19 symptoms, please don’t attend your bookings and cancel them via The Club Company My Club app, for everyone’s safety. To find out more details about Covid-19 symptoms please visit the NHS website.

We ask that you please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of your booked session, ready for your activity. When you arrive at the health club, a temperature check will be carried out, using a Fever20 temperature screening terminal. Fever20 is a contactless, fever screening solution that will automatically temperature test all members entering the building - if you go within range of the sensor. The system is simple: green for go, red for an alert. Sanitising and cleaning stations are provided at all entrances and throughout the building. We ask that you use these before entering the health club, whilst adhering to the new directional signs in place that help control the flow of people inside and outside the health club. As you enter the health club, please have your membership card ready to swipe; it will confirm the session you’re arriving for. Entry to the health club is strictly members only, visitors and guests should, therefore, be signed in at reception. Once you’ve checked in, please stick to the recommended route that has been outlined by new floor markers.

During busy periods you may see a queuing system in place; this is to provide appropriate social distancing for people moving around the health club; a traffic management system will be in place and there are one-way routes too.

Using the Health Club Facilities

Throughout the health club, there is a one-way system in operation. Where a one-way flow is not possible, we’ve created some waiting points to allow you to keep to the current social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitising stations are located both at reception and the entrance to each of the main areas in the club; please use the stations when entering different parts of the building. Gloves are available for your use if you’d prefer to use them.

During your visit, you'll see our Clean Crew implementing our new cleanliness guidance and carrying out regular checks of all the health club facilities – using disposable cleaning materials, to ensure no cross-contamination. A viricidal cleaning agent is used to ensure that all touchpoints are regularly cleaned and sanitised. The Clean Crew will also ensure that all sanitising stations are maintained, and overnight cleaning will take place, when the health club is closed. This will ensure that all facilities have been deep cleaned ready for your use in the morning.

Using the Changing Rooms

We advise that you come ready for your activity to reduce use of the changing rooms; you may wish to use the changing rooms during your visit to change from one activity to another. The Clean Crew will be following the new cleaning procedure to ensure all regular touchpoints are cleaned throughout the day. Initially, there will be no hairdryers, costume dryers or water fountains in use.

Showers

While using the showers is optional, we do encourage everyone to have a shower before entering the poolside. Regular cleaning of the showers will be conducted by the Clean Crew with viricidal spray; a hand sanitising station is located in each of the shower areas for your use.

Lockers

We have restricted the number of lockers that are in use; alternative lockers are on the top level and all lower-level lockers have been removed to enable you to stay socially distanced. Please use the hand sanitising station before and after using the lockers.

Using the Gym

All gym sessions must be booked in advance via the Technogym mywellness app. Currently, these sessions can be booked every 15 minutes but are limited to 60 minute booking slots, made a maximum of 4 days in advance. These restrictions will be reviewed on a regular basis and adapted when appropriate to do so. We’d like as few restrictions as possible but also need to get every member a fair chance of having a go. We recommend that you arrive ready for your gym session – you’re unable to use a sweat towel during your session, as per the guidance we have been given. Disposable paper towels are available for your use.

As you enter the gym, please use the hand sanitising stations and familiarise yourself with the new signage. The gym may look different from your last visit as we’ve made a number of alterations such as increasing the space between each piece of equipment. This has meant that we’ve taken some items of equipment out of use, and reduced the number of people that can use certain areas at the same time to aid social distancing. The ventilation in the gym is operating in line with the latest government guidance.

Disposable gloves are available in the gym should you wish to use them during your gym session. The Clean Crew and the Wellness Team will be cleaning the equipment regularly throughout the day using an electrostatic spray. We ask politely that you follow a double sanitisation process which involves wiping down the equipment, machine or mat before and after use, with the disinfectant spray and paper towels that are provided.

After you have completed your workout please use the hand sanitising stations that are located by the gym exit.

Attending an Exercise Class

All exercise classes must be booked in advance via The Club Company My Club app. Members can book up to 4 days in advance at this current time; this will be reviewed on a regular basis and changed when appropriate to do so. We recommend that you come ready for your class to reduce use of the changing rooms. As per ukactive guidance, sweat towel may not be used during classes, however disposable paper towels are available for use.

The time between classes has been increased, with start times staggered to help avoid overcrowding, and enable instructors to clean and sanitise all touchpoints, including the floor, with disinfectant while aerating the room as much as possible.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your class and wait in the designated areas; once the room is ready your instructor will invite you in.

As you enter the room please use the hand sanitising stations and familiarise yourself with the new signage. The class layout may look different from your last visit as we have made a number of alterations such as increasing the space between each person to ensure social distancing is possible.

We ask that you follow a double sanitisation process which involves wiping down the equipment, machine or mat before and after use. Please use the disinfectant spray and paper towels that are provided to wipe down the equipment, machine or mat. Disposable gloves are available should you wish to use them during your session.

After you have completed your class, please use the hand sanitising stations that are located by the exit.

Using the Swimming Pool

All swimming pool sessions must be booked in advance via The Club Company My Club app. These sessions are currently limited to 30 minutes and can be booked a maximum of 4 days in advance. These restrictions will be reviewed on a regular basis and adapted when appropriate to do so. We ask that you come as ready as possible for your swimming pool session; if you require any equipment, such as a float, then you may bring along your own to use. There will be no equipment available to share. During designated family times there will be a limit of 5 family members in the group during each session.

The swimming pool may look different from your last visit and the capacity of the swimming pool has been reduced to allow a minimum of 3sq metres of space per swimmer, as per the guidance. The swimming pool has been divided into two wide lanes, one fast lane and one slow lane.

All swimming must take place within the lane in a clockwise direction with no overtaking. Please only stop swimming to recover at the end of the lane but avoid gather with other people to enable social distancing.

The use of the other wetside facilities will be part of your pool session with a limit of 2 people in the spa. The sauna and steam room are not open at the moment based on the government guidance we have received. Sunrooms remain closed but the hydro pool (jacuzzi) is open.

Aqua classes will still be available but with a lower class capacity; during these times the swimming pool will remain closed to other swimmers.

Food and Drink

Tables and chairs, both with indoor and outdoor dining, will be spaced out to enable at least one-metre plus social distancing. For the safety of members and staff: we'll only have availability for groups of two to dine inside the clubhouse, and six outside - unless of course, you are from the same household.

There’s no need to pre-book, please just pop in - there are floor markings to guide you through if needed - and take a seat at any of our tables marked with a ‘ready’ sign if you'd like to eat or head to the bar to order a drink.

We'll offer you a disposable menu, along with a Test and Trace form for you to fill out (a Government requirement). Once this has been done, please come up to our order point, place your order and make your payment. You're able to make payment via your levy account, alternatively, contactless payment is preferred. We ask that you collect your drinks orders before returning to your table and we'll serve food orders to your table once they are ready.
